In the book, “Health Care Reform: What it is, Why it’s necessary, How it works” by Jonathan Gruber, Gruber discusses the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (also known as the ACA or Obamacare) in a captivating way. Usually, when you think about an informative book, you don’t think of it as a comic book – but Gruber did just that. The book was not only entertaining with its’ illustrations but it made the reading load feel a lot less. If you were to research about health care reform, you would come across long, lengthy articles that will shy you away from reading them. This book did the opposite. The book does a really good job of telling us the what, how, and why of ACA by answering questions like “why should we care about other people’s medical coverage,” “how ACA will help control costs,” and “how will it impact me on my coverage.”
*this book is bias since Jonathan helped with the implementation of the ACA, but i’m biased as well because I believe we need health care reform!
